Kaspersky Internet Security Scores AAA and Shows 100% Efficiency in the Latest Dennis Technology Labs Annual Report

Following comprehensive performance and protection testing, Dennis Technology Labs has named Kaspersky Internet Security as the best product on the market for protection against cyberthreats, giving it a 100% Total Accuracy rating in its annual ‘Anti-Virus Protection and Performance Report.’  The result makes Kaspersky Lab one of the few security vendors to be awarded a AAA certificate in four consecutive Dennis Technology Labs tests across 12 months.

The report consolidates the result of all Dennis Technology Labs anti-virus tests during the last 12 months, comparing how different anti-malware products perform in terms of protecting user systems and maintaining system performance. Kaspersky Internet Security emerged as the top product for protection accuracy, being the only solution which showed a 100% Total Accuracy score,  calculated according to how the product handles both threats and legitimate software.

The results confirm that in today’s constantly-evolving cyberthreat landscape, a specialised security solution such as Kaspersky Internet Security is essential for protecting Internet users against the latest cyberthreats.  Other vendor solutions performed less well, with Microsoft Security Essentials awarded a 66% Total Accuracy score, and free protection from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scoring 67%.  

The report also compares the impact of different security products on user systems. While performing a range of tasks, Kaspersky Internet Security was found to have only a 7% impact on systems. Other vendor’s products were found to have a far higher impact, with BitDefender Internet Security impacting user systems by as much as 17%.  Microsoft Security Essentials, was found to have less impact on systems (4%) but provided a lower level of protection.

Kaspersky Internet Security was found to offer the best combination – offering its users accurate protection against cyberthreats whilst having minimal impact on system performance levels.
