Kaspersky Lab announces that Kaspersky Small Office Security, the company’s product for home offices, has broken into the Top 3 most effective security solutions for its class. The new solution took second place in the Small Business Anti-Virus Protection April – June 2013 test conducted by Dennis Technology Labs, the independent testing laboratory.

The new solution took second place in the Small Business Anti-Virus Protection April – June 2013 test conducted by Dennis Technology Labs, the independent testing laboratory.
Dennis Technology Labs experts used two parameters to assess the effectiveness of solutions: detecting and blocking urgent threats, and distinguishing legitimate software without affecting its performance. During the testing, Kaspersky Lab’s product missed just 2 out of 100 threats (against an average of 6.2) and generated 2 false positives (against an average of 5.4).
Kaspersky Small Office Security returned a 94% effectiveness rating, earning it the AA grade in Dennis Technology Labs’ classification. Kaspersky Lab’s solution lined up against security products from four other popular software vendors in the testing.
