Eugene Kaspersky to discuss in Davos how to tackle the most serious cyberthreats

Eugene Kaspersky, chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, will address the most pressing issues facing cybersecurity during a panel session at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week.

Thomas Hendrik Ilves, President of Estonia; Jean-Paul Laborde, Executive Director of the United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate; and Bradford L. Smith, Executive Vice-President of Microsoft Corporation, will also take part in the discussion, taking place on the 24th January 2015 . The panel will consider how it is possible to balance security and privacy in the Internet age, how to build resilient cyber defenses on a national level, and how international cooperation can bolster global cybersecurity generally.

Ahead of the meeting, Eugene Kaspersky said: “The importance of cybersecurity is growing in line with the growth of our reliance on computer networks and connected devices. Also at the World Economic Forum, which takes place in the small Swiss skiing resort town of Davos on January 21-24 2015, Eugene Kaspersky will meet a number of top officials and business leaders from different countries.
