Kaspersky strengthens Sub-Saharan Africa position with new channel partnerships

19 September 2025

Following an 11% total growth of sales globally and 19% growth in Africa in 2024, Kaspersky is ramping up its regional strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa with new distribution partnerships, long-term collaborations, and stronger engagement with customers.

To make Kaspersky solutions more accessible in the region, three new strategic distributers were recently added to the company’s channel programme in the region. The new partners are Axiz, CoCre8 and Datacentrix who will help accelerate the delivery of the company’s solutions that meet the growing need for advanced cybersecurity protection.

“Kaspersky is a strong local player in the African market operating in the region for 16 years in both the B2C and B2B sectors. We are working to further boost our regional posture. Our channel partnerships extend beyond product distribution to focus on building real cyber resilience with experienced regional players. By working with partners who understand local business and regulatory dynamics, we can deliver faster, more relevant support to organisations,” says Chris Norton, General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at Kaspersky.

With 3 offices located in South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, and local representatives in Nigeria and other countries of the region, Kaspersky has also expanded its presence in Sub-Saharan Africa by bringing new talent into key regional roles. With additional support now in place across partner management, technical services, and customer engagement, the company is better positioned to respond to local needs and work more closely with its partners and enterprise clients.

The company also continues to maintain an active presence in Africa’s cybersecurity ecosystem. Kaspersky is a frequent participant of major regional events, including this year’s GITEX Africa, Cyber Security Summit (South Africa), Connected Banking East Africa Summit (Kenya). The company was also present at the recent GITEX Nigeria, where the strategic memorandum of understanding was signed with the National Information Technology Development Agency of Nigeria (NITDA).

Kaspersky maintains ongoing partnerships with institutions such as INTERPOL and AFRIPOL, government bodies and national agencies across the region. The company supported The Africa Cyber Surge II operation, an initiative to curb infostealer threats in the region; the Red Card operation that aimed to disrupt cross-border criminal networks across the African region; and the most recent Serengeti 2.0 that dismantled 11,432 malicious infrastructures which were involved in cybercrimes targeting nearly 88,000 victims with high-impact attacks including ransomware, online scams and business email compromise (BEC). Kaspersky has also signed a cooperation agreement with AFRIPOL to boost intelligence sharing and cross-border cybercrime response across the continent.

“At a time when cyber threats are more dynamic than ever, it is not enough to offer good cybersecurity solutions. We need to support our customers with the right people, the right philosophy and the cutting-edge intelligence. That is the foundation for cyber resilience,” concludes Chris Norton.
